What is a Schedule 1-A?
Schedule 1-A is a new IRS form introduced for the 2026 filing season to claim above-the-line deductions enacted under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (Public Law 119-21). It covers the no-tax-on-tips deduction, no-tax-on-overtime deduction, car loan interest deduction, and the senior standard deduction add-on for the 2025 tax year. Self-employed filers in qualifying occupations may use it alongside Schedule C. Depreciation and amortization strategies can compound savings alongside these new deductions.
